Steve Jobs on Covering Features

Hali Tauxe

How often does one get to attend a lecture by Steve Jobs? Or even by a guy dressed as Steve Jobs? I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend a session hosted by Geoff Carr, who is performing his one man show “Steve Jobs on Creativity” tonight.

The topic of the session was covering speeches and other features events, culminating in a plan for covering his own lecture that night. Carr offered helpful tips about what to put in your lede, the qualities of a good quote, and how to take effective notes. It was an overview, but he had his work cut out teaching something learned largely from practice. Overall, it was a memorable and engaging if not groundbreaking.
